Please bring some nibbles to share during the break, and please bring plenty of water for yourself.Suggested footwear: running shoes Rendezvous at High Park stn, Quebec Ave. exit, 3.30 sharp Directions, map and weather policy We've got a breezy, shady spot under the trees on a packed-earth pathway, free of stones and roots. It's an idyllic setting for English Country Dancing! Afterwards some people stay to watch the Dream in High Park, which this year is The Winter's Tale, running from June 28 to September 4, 2011. Our path runs east-west, and you'll find us about halfway between the Grenadier Restaurant parking lot (at the west) and the Dream in High Park site (High Park Amphitheatre, at the east). This is roughly in the middle of the park. There are washrooms nearby. How to find us Anyone wishing to rendezvous with us at the High Park subway station, Quebec Ave. exit, please try to arrive right at 3.30. It takes about 20 minutes to walk down the park, so we won't be able to wait long. If you miss us, just head to the main gate of the park and walk south toward the lake, keeping to the left side of the road. When you reach the restaurant, look for the path stretching off toward the Dream site. You might even hear the music -- we're only about 100 metres down the path. To get there on your own: The site is easy to reach from the Bloor Street, Queensway, and Parkside Drive entrances. The restaurant is at the intersection of Colborne Lodge Rd and Centre Rd. Turn your back to the parking lot and look across the road. You will see a sandy path running east beside a tree and a boulder. We have a shady spot about 100 metres down that path, on a packed earth surface. Our backup location is just south of the restaurant, by the reflecting pool and fountain. Subway: get off at High Park Stn. and leave by the Quebec Ave. exit. Cross Bloor at the High Park Ave. light (just east of the station) to the south side, go through the park gates and follow Colborne Rd. south. It takes less than 20 minutes to reach us. Streetcar: there are several choices of route. The Queen streetcar will take you to the bottom of the park (along the Queensway). Get off at Colborne Lodge Road and follow it north. The College streetcar goes right into the east side of the park. Follow Howard Park Road into the valley, where there is a crossroads. Follow Centre Road up the other side of the valley. Parking can be found inside the park not far from our site, near Bloor by the swimming pool, at the south end near Colborne Lodge, and at Grenadier Restaurant.
